Perhaps it'll make me reevaluate Welsh as well. (I'm watching the Frewer Holmes movies in reverse order, because I've recently watched both of the Cushing-starring "Hound of the Baskervilles," and I'm Hounded out. :) )Steve Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11263633883997493518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4370940677020749020.post-71569400236753454632010-02-22T01:26:07.027-08:002010-02-22T01:26:07.027-08:00I actually like Frewer's Holmes the more I get...I actually like Frewer's Holmes the more I get used to it, and I can't agree with you at all about Welsh's Watson. I've not seen this one, but in the two I have seen I thought he was excellent.
I'd heard beforehand that these films were terrible and Frewer likewise, and I had to agree the first time I saw his Baskervilles. But then I saw the Whitechapel Vampire and liked it so much it actually sent me back to Baskervilles, which I enjoyed a lot more second time.
The real problems with these for me are the obviously Canadian locations and supporting actors.Matthew Coniamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00302989527514886503noreply@blogger.com
